ASME Plant Inspector Level 2 eLearning – Study in your own time: Restrictions of rotas and training dates are a thing of the past!
If you wish to purchase the FULL eLEARNING COURSE, please follow this link
ASME Plant Inspector Level 2 eLearning is much the same as our original ASME level 2 course, which is only amalgamated into an eLearning format. All of the same topics are delivered in a systematic format. The course is designed to cover the in-service processes of the pressure equipment life cycle. It is intended to provide the knowledge to compile an Inspection Plan/Written Scheme of Examination and conduct the relevant post-inspection assessments. The ASME Plant Inspector Level 2 training course introduces management and planning activities such as Risk Based Inspection and screening of pressure vessels for Non-Intrusive Inspection.
Delegates will be introduced to API 579/ASME FFS-1 and learn how to conduct Level 1 assessments for localised and general metal loss. They will also gain insight into the applicability and limitations of such evaluations.
The course provides the necessary knowledge to make Run, Repair or Replace decisions. ASME PPC 2 gives the repair options, while API 510/570 is introduced for the re-rating procedures.
This eLearning course covers the same content as our traditional classroom-based course, only amalgamated into an eLearning format. The same topics are delivered in an easy-to-digest manner. The ASME Plant Inspector Level 1 training course provides the fundamental principles of inspecting, assessing, and managing fixed-pressure equipment. It is aimed at the upstream and downstream Petrochemical industry but is equally relevant to stakeholders from other sectors that utilise pressure equipment.
We understand that flexibility is key, so we’ve introduced a modular learning route for our ASME Plant Inspector Level 2 – eLearning course. This option allows you to break the course into three manageable blocks, making it easier to tailor your study schedule and focus on specific topics before moving on to the next. Each block offers in-depth training, allowing you to progress through the material in a way that best suits your needs and pace.
Course Structure:
Block 1:
- Module 1 – Introduction and Inspection Principles
- Module 2 – Engineering Materials
- Module 3 – Pressure Equipment Design
Block 2:
- Module 4 – Damage Mechanisms
- Module 5 – Non-Destructive Examination
- Module 6 – Inspection and Evaluation of Pressure Vessels
- Module 7 – Fitness For Service
Block 3:
- Module 8 – Pressure Equipment Repairs
- Module 9 – Inspection Strategies
- Module 10 – Summary
Final Exam: Once you’ve completed all three blocks and feel confident in your knowledge, you can schedule your final exam on a date that suits you.
With this modular approach, you can purchase and complete each block individually, giving you the freedom to focus on specific areas and manage your learning journey with even more flexibility. This option is perfect for those who want to spread out their studies over time or concentrate on one block at a time before moving forward.
Important to Note:
- Modules Must Be Completed in Order: Each block must be purchased and studied in sequence. You need to complete Block 1 before moving on to Block 2, and Block 2 before starting Block 3.
- Eligibility for Final Exam: All three blocks must be completed before you are eligible to sit the final exam.
Why Choose the Modular Route?
- Flexible Scheduling: Tailor your study plan to fit your professional and personal commitments by focusing on one block at a time.
- Cost Management: Pay for each block as you go, making it easier to budget your training expenses.
- Concentrated Learning: Dive deep into each set of topics before moving on to the next, ensuring a thorough understanding of the material.
Course Suitability:
Ideal for those wishing to progress from Level 1, or for experienced inspectors and engineers looking to expand their technical knowledge, the ASME Plant Inspector Level 2 eLearning training course provides an intensive but practical challenge.
eLearning Subjects Covered:
– Pressure Equipment Design and Materials
– Damage Mechanisms and Inspection
– Inspection Planning and RBI
– Fitness for Service
– Repair Selection
eLearning Duration:
Approx. 60 hours of training with four months online access.
It covers the same content as our classroom course, but with more time, so you can work your way through each topic comfortably at your own pace. This means plenty of time to return to each module and revise until your heart (or brain!) is content. You can arrange to sit your exam as soon as you feel confident; you do not have to wait until the end of your online training duration before sitting your exam.

Course Modules
Level 2 Examination
Following the completion of your ASME Level 2 course content you are required to sit the official examination. This exam is fully online using ‘online proctoring’ software that you will be required to download.
The software will disable any other computer functionality during the exam (like copy/paste, screen capture, web browsing) and will use your webcam to monitor you during the exam.
These measures are to emulate taking the test in a classroom under exam conditions and are to preserve the integrity of the exam, your results and the results of other students.
